Threatened Scholars Integration
GHEA21’s commitment to academic freedom is reflected in its integration of threatened scholars, who have lost their academic positions or had to flee their home countries due to persecution for their views or identities. Threatened scholars contribute to the academic, intellectual, and civic life of their GHEA21 institution and the GHEA21 network more broadly. They teach GHEA21 courses, conduct research in dialogue or collaboration with GHEA21 partners, and share their distinct perspectives and rich experiences on their field of expertise and on academic freedom.
GHEA21 does not currently offer fellowships as part of this program.
